London Ladd is a prominent illustrator who has received recognition from the American Library Association, Parent's Choice Awards, Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, American Illustration, and World Illustration Awards and has been nominated for an NAACP Image Award. London has illustrated numerous critically acclaimed books, including Black Gold, My Red, White, and Blue, and You So Black, as well as newspapers, magazines, and community-based murals. His clients include HarperCollins, Philomel Books, New York Times, Washington Post, and Scientific American.

London earned a BFA and MFA in illustration from Syracuse University and received an honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts from the State University of New York. His artwork is characterized by a distinct mixed-media approach, combining acrylic paint, cut paper, and tissue paper to represent various subjects vividly.

London is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Syracuse University. He resides in Syracuse, NY.
